16 When I heard, my BELLY TREMBLED. MY LIPS QUIVERED at the VOICE: Rottenness entred into my Bones, and I TREMBLED in myself, that I might REST in the Day of Trouble.

Rev. iv. 1 I looked, and behold, a Door was opened in Heaven: and the first Voice which I heard. was as it were of a TRUMPET talking with me; which faid, Come up hither, and I will shew thee Things which must be hereafter.

and behold, a THRONE was

fet in HEAVEN, and one fat upon the

THRONE.

3 And he that sat was to look and there was a Rainbow round

upon like a Jasper, and a Sardine stone
about the Throne, in Sight like unto an Emerald.

4 And round about the Throne were four and twenty Seats: and upon the Seats I faw four and twenty Elders fitting, clothed in white Raiment; and they had on their Heads CROWNS OF GOLD.

5 And out of the THRONE proceeded LIGHTNINGS, and THUNDERINGS, and VOICES, and there were seven Lamps of Fire burning before the THRONE, which are the seven SPIRITS of GOD.

Rev. x. 1 I saw another MIGHTY ANGEL come down from HEAVEN, clothed with a CLOUD, and a RAINBOW was upon his Head, and his Face was as it were the Sun, and his Feet as Pillars of Fire.

2 And he had in his Hand a little Book open: and he set his Right Foot upon the Sea, and his Left Foot on the Earth,

3 And cried with a loud Voice, as when a Lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven THUNDERS uttered their VOICES.

* Ifa Ixiii. 7 I will mention the LOVING KINDNESS of the Lord, and the PRAISES of the Lord, according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us, and the great Goodness towards the House of Ifrael, which he hath bestowed on them, according to his MERCIFS, and according to the multitude of his loving Kindnesses.

For he said, Surely they are my People, Children that will not lie: fo he was their SAVIOUR

9 In all their Affliction he was afflicted, and the ANGEL of his PRESENCE SAVED them: in his Love and in his PITY he REDEEMED them, and he BARE them, and carried them all the Days of old.

10 But they rebelled, and VEXED his HOLY SPIRIT: therefore he was turned to be their Enemy, and he fought against them.

21 a BEWARE of him, and OBEY his VOICE, provoke him not: for he will not pardon your Tranfgreffions: for my Name is in him.

22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his Voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an Enemy unto thine Enemies, and an Adversary unto

thine Adverfaries.

• Heb. ii. I Therefore we ought to

give the more EARNEST HEED to the THINGS which we have HEARD, left at any time we should let them SLIP.

2 For if the WORD spoken by ANGELS was STEDFAST, and every Tranfgreffion and Disobedience received a just Recompence of Reward;

3 How shall we ESCAPE if we NEGLECT SO GREAT SALVATION, which at

the first began to be SPOKEN by the LORD, and was CONFIRMED unto us by them that heard him;

4 GOD alfo BEARING them WITNESS, both with SIGNS and WONDERS, and with divers MIRACLES, and GIFTS of the Holy Ghost, according to his

Own WILL.

23 For mine ANGEL shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.

24 Thou shalt not bow down to their Gods, nor serve them, nor do after their Works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their Images.

25 And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall BLESS thy Bread and thy Water: and I will take Sickness away from the midst of thee.

26 There shall nothing caft their Young, nor be barren in thy Land: the Number of thy Days I will fulfil,

27 I will send my FEAR before thee, and will destroy all the People to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine Enemies turn their Backs unto thee.

28 And I will fend Hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite from before thee.

29 I will not drive them out from before thee in one Year; left the Land become defolate, and the Beasts of the Field multiply against thee.

30 By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the Land.

31 b And I will fet thy BOUNDS from the RED SEA even unto the Sea of the Philistines, and from the Desart even unto the RIVER *: for

b1 Kings iv. 21 SOLOMON REIGNED Over ALL KINGDOMS, from the RIVER unto the Land of the Philistines, and unto the Border of Egypt: they brought Presents, and served Solomon all the Days of his Life.

I will deliver the Inhabitants of the Land into your Hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.

32 Thou shalt make no Covenant with them, nor with their Gods.

33 They shall not dwell in thy Land, lest they make thee fin against me: for if thou serve their Gods, it will furely be a SNARE unto thee.

CHAP. XXIV.

ND he faid unto Mofes, Come up unto the LORD, thou and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy

of the Elders of Ifrael: and worship ye afar off.

2 And Mofes alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh, neither shall the People go up with him.

3 And Mofes came and told the People all the Words of the Lord, and all the Judgments: and all the People anfwered with one Voice, and faid, All the Words which the LORD hath faid, will we do.

That is the River Euphrates.

4 And Mofes wrote all the Words of the Lord, and rose up early in the Morning, and builded an Altar under the Hill, and twelve Pillars according to the twelve Tribes of Ifrael.

5 And he sent young Men of the Children of Ifrael, which offered Burnt-offerings, and facrificed Peace-offerings of Oxen unto the LORD.

6 And Mofes took half of the Blood, and put it in Bafons; and half of the Blood he sprinkled on the Altar.

7 And he took the Book of the Covenant, and read in the Audience of the People: and they said, All that the LORD hath faid, will we do, and be obedient.

8 And Mofes took the Blood and sprinkled it on the People, and faid, Behold, the Blood of the Covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these Words. 9 Then went up Mofes and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and feventy of the Elders of Ifrael.

10 And they saw the God of Ifrael: and there Was UNDER his FEET, as it were a paved Work of a SAPPHIRE-STONE, and as it were the BODY of HEAVEN in his CLEARNESS.

• Ezek. i. 28 As the Appearance of the Bow that is in the CLOUD in the Day of Rain, so was the Appearance

of the BRIGHTNESS round about. This was the Appearance of the Likeness of the GLORY of the LORD: and when I faw it, I fell upon my Face, and heard a Voice of one that spake.

11 And upon the NOBLES of the Children of Ifrael he LAID NOT his Hand: also they saw God, and did EAT and DRINK.

12 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, Come up to me into the Mount, and be there and I will give thee Tables of Stone, and a Law, and Commandments, which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.

13 And Mofes rose up, and his Minister Joshua: and Mofes went up into the Mount of God.

14 And he faid unto the Elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any Man have any Matters to do, let him come unto them.

15 And Mofes went up into the Mount, and a Cloud covered the Mount.

16 And the GLORY of the LORD ABODE upon MOUNT Sinai: and the CLOUD covered it fix Days: and the feventh Day he called unto Mofes out of the midst of the

Cloud.

17d And the LIGHT of the GLORY of the LORD was like DEVOURING FIRE on the Top of the Mount, in the Eyes of the Children of Ifrael.

18 And MOSES went into the midst of the CLOUD, and gat him up into the MOUNT: and Mofes was in the Mount forty Days and forty Nights.

6 And before the THRONE there was a SEA of Glass like unto Crystal: and in the midst of the THRONE, and round about the THRONE, were four Beasts, full of Eyes before and behind

9 And when those BEASTS give GLORY, and HONOUR, and THANKS to him that fat on the THRONE, who LIVETH for EVER and EVER,

To The four and twenty Elders fall down before him that fat on the THRONE, and WORSHIP him that LIVETH for ever and ever, and caft their CROWNS before the THRONE, faying,

II Thou art worthy O LORD to receive GLORY, and HONOUR, and PowER: for thou hast CREATED all Things, and for thy PLEASURE they ARE, and WERE CREATED.

Dan. vii. 9 I beheld, till the THRONES were cast down, and the ANCIENT of Days did fit, whose Garment was white as Snow, and the Hair of his Head was like the pure Wooll: his THRONE was like the FIERY FLAME, and his Wheels as burning FIRE.

10 A FIERY STREAM issued, and came forth from before him; thousand THOUSANDS ministred unto him, and ten thousand Times ten THOUSAND stood before him the JUDGMENT was set, and the Books were opened.

Ifa. xl. 17 All Nations before him are as NOTHING, and they are counted to him LESS than NOTHING, and VANITY.

22 It is he that fitteth upon the CIRCLE of the EARTH, and the Inhabitants thereof are as Grashoppers.

Ifa. vi. I I SAW the LORD SITTING upon a Throne, High and lifted up, and his TRAIN filled the Temple.

2 Above it stood the SERAPHIMS: each one had fix Wings; with twain he covered his Face, and with twain he covered his Feet, and with twain he did fly.

3 And one CRIED unto another, and SAID, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY is the LORD of HOSTS, the whole EARTH is full of his GLORY.

5 Then faid I, wo is me, for I am undone, because I am a Man of UNCLEAN Lips, and I dwell in the midst of a People of unclean Lips: for mine Eyes have seen the KING, the Lord of HOSTS.

6 Then flew one of the SERAPHIMs unto me, having a live Coal in his Hand, which he had taken with the Tongs from off the Altar.

7 And he LAID it upon my Mouth, and faid Lo, this hath TOUCHED thy Lips, and thine INIQUITY is taken away, and thy SIN PURGED. John xii. 41 These Things faid Elaias, when he saw his GLORY, and spake of him.
