THE LATTER-DAY SAINTS' MILLENNIAL STAR. VOLUME LVII. AND "HOW THEN SHALL THEY CALL ON HIM IN WHOM THEY HAVE NOT LIVERPOOL: EDITED AND PUBLISHED BY ANTHON H. LUND, 42 ISLINGTON. LONDON: FOR SALE AT THE LATTER-DAY SAINTS' BOOK DEPOT, 36 PENTON STREET, ISLINGTON. 1895. Ma V." PREFACE. THE fifty-seventh volume of the MILLENNIAL STAR is now completed, and we take pleasure in recommending it to the careful attention of all into whose hands it may come. Our endeavor has been to keep our little paper filled with interestesting matter for all who are watching the progress of the Latterday Work; and a glance at the contents outlined in the index will, like the menu of a rich repast, show, that, the reader has a feast of good things prepared for him. He' will find sermons' and articles containing the views, encouraging remarks, exhortations, and instructions of the First Presidency, the Twelve Apostles, and other leading men of the Church. The subjects on which they have treated never grow old. He that hungers and thirsts for righteousness will here find food for his soul. The condition of the Church in the European Mission has been faithfully delineated, and likewise the progress of the Work of God in other parts of the earth. May this harbinger of the Millennial Morn continue to be a true guiding star unto those who are seeking for light on their journey through the Valley of the shadow of Death, pointing out the way to Zion, the glorious city of our God.
